The Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee are leading an engaging, transparent search process. They will share periodic updates as the Wake Forest community moves through each phase.

The search for Wake Forest’s 15th president begins by listening. True to the character of our community, we are inviting input and ideas from the entire Wake Forest community through conversations and surveys. This feedback will help the search committee understand what kind of leader should guide Wake Forest’s next chapter.

After gathering feedback, the search committee will analyze and distill the insights shared by the community. This step will clarify the leadership qualities and experiences that best fit Wake Forest at this moment in its history.

With a robust understanding of what the University needs in place, the search committee will actively identify and recruit candidates for the 15th presidency. Partnering with an executive search firm, the committee will collect and review résumés from potential leaders.

The search committee will interview candidates who meet Wake Forest’s criteria, gaining deeper insight into each person’s vision, values and readiness to lead the University.

When the search committee selects the candidate it believes will best lead and serve Wake Forest, it will announce and introduce the 15th president to the University community.
