Wake Forest University is a community that relies on personal connection and deep relationships. The search for a new president is one that will affect all members of the community. Therefore, the Board of Trustees is inviting members of the Wake Forest community to be part of the search process.

Members of the Wake Forest community are encouraged to complete the presidential search survey. This feedback will be shared with the presidential search committee.

Stakeholder committees, representing key Wake Forest audiences, will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and feedback with the presidential search committee. The search committee will conduct special listening sessions with key groups, including: Faculty Senate, led by Steve Virgil (P ’19), president; Staff Advisory Council, led by Stephanie Carter-Atkins, president; Student Government, led by Amaya Williams (’26), student body president; and volunteer leaders representing alumni, parents, families and friends.

At the Fall 2025 meetings, Wake Forest boards and councils will participate in a discussion related to the presidential search. Notes and observations made during these meetings will be collected and shared with the presidential search committee.
